What We Can Learn from Teenagers about Document Security

Wednesday, May 15, 01:30 – 02:30 PM | LL04
Like giving a cell phone to your pre-teen, there comes the point when it’s time to implement security for files leaving your ERP system. That security is digital signatures, and it can be implemented through Oracle BI Publisher, as well as bolt-on solutions with advanced features and logic. In this session, you’ll learn about the features, limitations, and techniques for using—and the importance of implementing—digital signatures. We’ll explore what they are and why they’re important for GDPR and other highly-regulated industries (spoiler alert: They’re not quite as simple as signing your electronic signature to a document). We’ll discuss the limitations that accompany Oracle’s basic implementation and look at ways to implement digital signatures in scale with your enterprise organization need, while simultaneously helping to automate document delivery from Oracle EBS.

Executing a Hybrid Strategy: Integrating On-Prem with Cloud Applications

Thursday, May 16, 01:30 – 02:30 PM | LL06
In this session, we will explore how a masonry and landscape materials company began exploring their cloud options to move their CRM functions from On-Premises to the cloud. We will cover why this hybrid approach will be a good option for companies gearing up for a cloud transition, and how to determine which modules are the right ones to start with. This presentation will cover the following objectives: (1) Discuss the growing need to consider adopting a hybrid cloud strategy. (2) Review the challenges faced, and the solution implemented to sync data between on-prem and cloud applications. (3) Discuss the results and plans as more cloud offerings become viable solutions to everyday business needs.
