Rollup of Product Updates [Fall, v25.4]

Improve security oversight, accelerate enterprise printing, and expand API driven integrations across Oracle EBS and eAM.

The AventX v24.5 release delivers targeted enhancements that strengthen governance, improve print performance, and expand integration flexibility across Oracle EBS, Oracle eAM, and AventX A2A. This update focuses on giving IT and operations teams greater visibility into identity management changes, higher throughput and reliability in enterprise printing environments, and more modern attachment handling through APIs. With v24.5, AventX continues to optimize core infrastructure while aligning with long term platform requirements and evolving security best practices.

As organizations look to modernize Oracle document delivery, printing, and integration workflows, AventX v24.5 introduces practical improvements that reduce risk, increase scalability, and support hybrid environments. From human review-based Entra ID group change notifications to load-balanced local printing and expanded API attachment options, this release helps teams maintain control while moving faster with confidence.

File Management Improvements

Greater Control and Visibility for Oracle EBS to Entra ID Group Changes

AventX A2A enhances the Oracle EBS to Entra ID action with an email notification option that prioritizes oversight and auditability. Instead of automatically updating Entra ID group membership, teams can receive a detailed email outlining recommended user additions and removals, sent to configurable recipients. This approach supports security best practices by enabling review and manual intervention before changes are made, while maintaining consistency through AventX’s existing email framework.

Document Printing Improvements

Load Balancing and Performance Improvements for Local Print Client

This release adds support for load balancing in the Local Print Client when using a shared mount, improving throughput and stability for environments processing higher print volumes. Additional performance optimizations further reduce processing time. These changes help extend the operational lifespan of the JWS-based client while customers continue to rely on Java 8 environments supported through 2030.

Direct Printer Refactor with Protocol-Specific Implementations

The existing DirectPrinter implementation has been refactored into protocol-specific printer types to improve clarity, configuration, and protocol handling. The system now supports DirectIPPPrinter for IPP/IPPS over port 631, DirectRawPrinter for RAW printing over port 9100, and DirectPjlPrinter for JetDirect/PJL over port 9100. This change enables more explicit printer configuration and better alignment with printer capabilities.

Attachment Handling Improvements

API Support Added for URL-Based Attachments

The API submission workflow has been enhanced to support URL-based web attachments in addition to file and UNC sources. This update resolves limitations identified in prior escalations and allows external web content to be submitted without requiring file-based attachment handling.
