The Company:

Sloan Valve, a world-class manufacturer of plumbing products and systems, has received accolades for its innovative, environmentally responsible business practices from fixture design to plant operations. The Problem:

Experiencing continued failures generated by their existing fax solution, Sloan Valve’s replacement solution needed to integrate with SAP on Windows, offer the ability to batch fax documents and receive acknowledgements directly into the system. Users also required the solution to work with MS Exchange, integrate with existing Canon MFP devices, and offer the ability to support fax over internet protocol (FoIP). In addition, excellent product support was high priority.

The Solution:

Identifying an opportunity to solve Sloan Valve’s business need, STR Software leveraged its UNIX-based AventX fax product and created a similar Windows-based solution, AventX Connector for SAP ERP® on Windows. Within 2 months, STR Software’s beta version was complete and available for implementation. STR Software performed a thorough proof-of-concept, operating the solution in Sloan Valve’s environment and demonstrating the advanced functionality required. The demonstration was a success; Orville Howard, IT Manager and decision maker for Sloan Valve, agreed to purchase AventX Connector for SAP ERP® on Windows. STR Software also provided the necessary training and support to ensure a solid understanding of the new fax server solution.
