Eight Ways AventX Extends Native Oracle EBS Delivery Manager Functionality

BI Publisher in Oracle EBS improves the efficiency of the document delivery process by making it possible to use common applications to simplify forms creation and by offering a delivery mechanism.  The AventX Oracle Connector extends the out-of-the-box BI Publisher functionality to meet the increasingly complex needs of today’s businesses. The document below outlines some of the critical, advanced delivery features available with AventX.

AventX Oracle EBS
Single Concurrent Manager Request Submission Submits a single request to the Concurrent Manager for automated bursting and delivery of unlimited documents via email, fax, print, and/or archive. BI Publisher has a two-step burst and deliver process that requires developers to write and maintain code throughout the life of the EBS environment.
Attachments Offers seeded queries (and/or configurable queries) allowing users to automatically deliver EBS report output with associated attachments from any entity and category. Native BIP bursting mechanism delivers the data associated with the report and ignores paperclip icon attachments.
Fax Delivery Status The AventX Delivery Status engine gives real-time fax status and lets users know immediately if a report transmits successfully or fails via the integrated Delivery Status form in EBS and email alerting system. Native Oracle fax produces a success status once the bursting engine hands off the data to the fax modem BEFORE THE NUMBER IS DIALED.
Confirmed Email Status With the AventX Mail SC engine you receive confirmation of email receipt just as you would with fax. Email delivery status confirmation integrates with the AventX Delivery Status engine for centralized management of all report delivery activity. Like Oracle fax, Oracle email produces a false positive on success on delivery status. This is for a good reason; email systems do not natively return a transmission status.
Configuration Provides a native Oracle EBS Forms interface allowing administrators to configure dynamic cover sheets, recipients, attachments, acknowledgments, sender information and more by organizational ID and document type Configuration with BIP is done through Bursting Control Files which is cryptic, syntax- dependent and tied directly to a specific report, not to a centralized configuration bank.
Unique to AventX
Document Management The AventX WebManager creates one-click access from the Delivery Status form in EBS to view, edit and resubmit documents for delivery, without the need to re-run another concurrent request as is required with BIP.
Delivery API AventX Delivery API allows customers and service providers to fully customize a document delivery process in order to meet specific business requirements.
Stand Alone Document Delivery With the Stand Alone Interactive Delivery functionality, users engage Submit Request functionality and deliver documents from anywhere within EBS, eliminating time spent manually navigating to the Submit Request form.
