The David J. Joseph Company Automates Inbound Fax Delivery of Invoices

The David J. Joseph Company (Cincinnati, OH), one of the oldest and largest scrap-metal brokerage operations in the US, chose STR Software to automatically route thousands of incoming documents to the appropriate recipients.

David Lewis, Director of Infrastructure and Security at DJJ needed to address the serious pain of manually receiving, scanning, and redirecting 10,000 invoices per day. With so much user intervention required, invoices were frequently lost or misrouted. Seeking a hardware-free solution, Lewis began investigating his automated inbound routing options.

Lewis was familiar with STR Software from his previous work experience with STR Software customer Masco. After a single phone call to STR Software, a proposal was created and ultimately a solution was put in place. Using FAXCOM Anywhere for Windows, incoming invoices are routed to ten, toll-free numbers, each of which is assigned to a dedicated email address. The low-cost, low-maintenance solution was exactly what DJJ needed. Looking forward, they will explore outbound routing from the desktop as phase two of the project.
