Laitram Picks AventX to Automate Sales Order Acknowledgements from Oracle EBS

Laitram, LLC (Harahan, LA) is a privately owned global manufacturing company that has been part of the Louisiana business landscape since 1949. Laitram is comprised of five operating divisions: Intralox, LLC, Laitram Machinery, Inc, Lapeyre Stair, Inc, Laitram Machine Shop, LLC, and Industrial Microwave Systems, LLC.

Laitram is an existing EBS user with a new implementation of Oracle’s Quote to Cash solution “Order Management.” Borrowing a process from their legacy ERP, Laitram wanted Customer Service Representatives to be able to take orders and immediately send the acknowledgement to the customer without leaving Oracle EBS. A key requirement was to use Laitram’s existing RightFax fax server.

Laitram reached out after finding one of STR Software’s document delivery presentations online. STR Software was able to create a custom solution utilizing various components of the AventX product suite. The new solution allows Customer Representatives to process the order, preview, and then engage AventX’s Interactive Delivery form to fax, email or print the order according the needs of the end recipient. Laitram intends to go live with the solution immediately.

Because Laitram’s custom solution was so successful, it was incorporated into standard AventX code in the 2012 release and the feature set became known as AventX SAID (Standalone Interactive Delivery). Watch the video below to see how AventX allows users to:

  • View the delivery status of any document from anywhere in EBS at any time
  • Add and/or omit report attachments “on the fly” directly from the AventX Interactive Delivery form
