Purdue Pharma to Fax Purchase Orders from SAP

Purdue Pharma L.P. (Stanford, CT) has selected STR Software as its document delivery provider. Executing version ECC 6.0 of SAP R/3 on HP9000 UNIX servers, Purdue Pharma will incorporate AventX with their existing FAXCOM fax server infrastructure to fax 50 pages per day of purchase orders.

STR Software Nominated for OAUG's Innovator of the Year Award

Last week at OAUG’s Collaborate show in Denver, Colorado, STR Software was nominated for OAUG’s Innovator of the Year Award. This award is bestowed on an organization demonstrating innovative and breakthrough techniques within the standard funcionality of an Oracle application. The nomination honors STR Software’s ingenuity, creativity, and success with its AventX Oracle Connector product. Encore Presentation Planned at Denver Collaborate Show

Ben Bruno, president of STR Software, will present "XML Publisher with Oracle E-Business Suite: Automated Document Delivery via Email and Fax" at the OAUG's April Collaborate Show at the Denver Convention Center. Interest in the topic was so high that OAUG added a second presentation. Times are as follows:

Migrating to Oracle 11.5.10 on RS/6000 hardware, the organization needed a solution in place by summer's end. STR Software Provides City Government with Direct Integration

With a need to replace their antiquated faxing package, the City of Lakeland (Lakeland, FL) sought a solution that would support its HP-UX v11.11 operating system and provide integration with Oracle E-Business Suite v11.5.9. After discovering STR Software on Oracle website’s partner directory, representatives of the City’s Purchasing and IT departments attended live demonstrations of AventX Oracle Connector functionality. Entertainment & Media Producer Chooses AventX

Navarre Corporation (New Hope, MN) needed an automated faxing solution for both SAP and desktop-generated documents.  In addition, they required that the solution be easy to use and quick to implement while also providing acknowledgements and error-redirection.  The company’s search ended upon finding STR Software.  Navarre plans to use AventX for outbound production faxing of purchase orders and invoices at a volume of 200 pages per day.

STR Software Announces Two Major Releases

STR Software is proud to announce the release of AventX UNIX v6.0 and the AventX Oracle Connector v5.3. These new releases are available immediately and include exciting new features which will be of great benefit to our valued AventX users. You may download these new features at no additional fee provided that you have an active service agreement with STR Software.

New Features within AventX UNIX v6.0:

Improvement of Dirscan Functionality- The scheduler and dirscan have been split into separate processes allowing the scheduler to monitor and maintain the queue while maintaining document flow.
Groupsend of Formatted Documents- When multiple documents are sent to the same fax number, the number will only dial once, sending as many documents as configured.
Smart Restart of Documents- Restart of documents will incur at the point of initial failure providing security that only one copy of a document exists for the intended recipient.

New Features within the AventX Oracle Connector v5.3:

Scheduling of Interactive Delivery Documents- Gives customers the ability to open the Interactive Delivery form, fill in recipient information, and schedule the document to be sent at a specified interval.
Configuration of Standard Documents- Allows Oracle users to properly configure properties inside Oracle using STR Software's "Add your own Document" form, shortening the process of changing variables.
Additional Device Specification - Gives customers the ability to define one device for fax and another (Mail or Mail Plus device) for e-mail.
Configuration of 'From' Information - Permits users to hardcode the 'From' field (i.e. A faxed PO comes from "Purchasing' rather than from the individual).
